The New Year has arrived and so too has the beginning of a new decade here at Watson & Associates.  Today it is necessary to reflect on how far we have come while also sharing a little more on where we are going. 

We want to recognize the vision and hard work that our founder, Jackie Watson, has provided to this firm over the last 20 years.  Our firm would not be where it is today without her commitment to quality, ethics and service.  Although her well-earned retirement brings new leadership to our helm, our guiding philosophy will remain the same.  We will try our best to express the amount of gratitude she is due, but it’s difficult to put into words. 

Moving forward, again, our guiding philosophy remains to cultivate and to build a small, robust client base with lasting relationships – being the best resource we can be to our clients.  Put another way, we love our clients and it will show in all we do.  While the X’s and O’s of our business – the debits and credits, the calculating of modified adjusted gross income, or meeting tax deadlines – are important, our WHY is centered on elbow-to-elbow engagement with our clients.  Seeing them succeed.  Witnessing their growth.  Watching them become family.

Change is upon us, but we want our extended family to know that you’re still what matters most to us.  As we head into another tax season, another year, another decade, we look forward to listening, planning, and working with you.  Wishing everyone the very best in 2020.
